Join us on Sunday 1 February for Lilydale Community Day! It's a family friendly event and entry is free. Bookings aren't required, except for barefoot bowls.

Instead of the usual $15 per person we're offering barefoot bowls for free! All equipment is supplied and someone will be on hand if you need help. Bookings are essential and can be made via the box shown above (mobile) or to the right (desktop).

Specific rinks will be allocated to all groups who book, just check in at the registration station when you arrive. More information on playing bowls, including a handy short video, can be found on  our Play Bowls page.

We would love to see lots of kids at the event, therefore have arranged for some great activities to take place throughout the day. This include:

• Free face painting from 12.00-5.00pm with Hopey Pokey Painter. This is fully funded by the club.​

• Yarra Ranges Council's Early & Middle Years Team will be on hand from 12.00-4.00pm with some fun activities. More information on the team and their work can be found at this link.​

• Mayfield Early Education Lilydale will be there from 12.00-2.00pm with information an activity. Find out more about the centre at this link.

• Arts and crafts activities, such as designing a tote bag and colouring in.​

• For little kids we have some rubber bowls that can be used, but please be aware that it can be dangerous on the green with other bowls and participants around.

• For older kids (aged 10-17 years) we will be launching our junior bowls program on the day and would love them to take part. See below for more information.

Please ensure that children are supervised at all times.

We're launching a junior bowls program on the day and encourage anyone aged 10-17 to give it a try. Introductory sessions will be held at 1.00pm, 3.00pm, and 5.00pm with information available for juniors and parents. Bookings aren't required but if you have questions or would like more information please email barefootbowling@gmail.com

Monthly sessions will be held on Thursdays and Sundays with qualified coaches and equipment supplied. If you can't make it on Lilydale Community Day but would like to come along another time please let us know. We would love to see juniors from across Lilydale and the Yarra Valley involved.

Lilydale Craft & Produce Market (organised by the Rotary Club of Lilydale) will be operating from 9.00am-2.00pm in the Council Car Park next door. Make sure to check out the stalls before coming across to Lilydale Community Day. More information about the market and club can be found on their website.

Our friends from Lilydale SES will be operating a BBQ on the day. More information to come soon.

Our indoor and outdoor bars will be set up with a range of drinks at great prices.

We're offering a membership special on the day with social membership just $10 (half price) and extended for 15 months instead of 12. Members receive various benefits, including discounted drink prices, entry into our weekly members draws, and more. By joining up on the day you'll be able to access cheaper drinks immediately!​​​

We're located at 5 Hardy Street Lilydale, between the Yarra Ranges Council Civic Centre and Lilydale Community House. We're situated in the heart of Lilydale and at the gateway to the Yarra Valley so we're very accessible.
