In February 2026 the club launched a new junior bowls program for 10-17 year olds. We're delighted to have had 5 new junior bowlers join the club and participate regularly. The prime objective is to create a fun, relaxed environment where juniors can learn and enjoy bowls amongst their own age group.​

Junior bowls membership at Lilydale is only $25 per year. Being a member provides the ability to play in pennant competitions, club championships, and tournaments sanctioned by Bowls Victoria and Bowls Australia. It also includes entry into our weekly members draw, invitations to social events, and additional coaching.

Participation in our junior bowls program is free for members and includes the use of bowls and other equipment, as well as qualified coaching and support. Weekly sessions will be held on Thursday evenings (5.00-6.30pm), as well as the first Sunday of each month (time TBC). To register your interest please email barefootbowling@gmail.com

Parents are encouraged to become involved and are welcome to attend and spectate. Bowling and social membership of Lilydale is available for parents and family members, and is a great way to become fully immersed in your child's bowls activities.

We will also be offering free try bowls sessions for school groups. These will be undertaken by members with WWC checks and show students the basics of lawn bowls. Please get in contact if your school is interested.​​​​
